Sizing it up! Selecting the right Card Armour products to protect your cards.
So, you’ve decided it’s time to protect your collectible cards with Card Armour. Congratulations! You’ve made the right choice. But how do you know which size or thickness is right for the cards you want to protect? To help you with that, we need to go into a little detail on how collectible cards are measured.
You might have seen that cards are measured in points (pt for short) — 35pt, 55 pt, 75pt, and so on. Points are a printer’s measurement of thickness; one point is 1/1000 of an inch, or 0.025 mm. This means for example that a 100pt card is 2.5mm in thickness (or a tenth of an inch on the old measure).
When buying Card Armour products to protect your cards, you’ll need to choose the right size so that your cards fit securely inside. You could measure their thickness yourself using a micrometer, but to make it easier we have created this handy table that will help you make the right choice.
